We’ve had some great news from the team at the Growth Investor Awards. Vala has been shortlisted as a finalist for three of this year’s awards – Industry Game Changer, Most Impactful Investment and Industry Rising Star.
Since they launched five years ago, Intelligent Partnership’s Growth Investor Awards have quickly become some of the most respected and prestigious accolades in the world of SME investment.
This is in large part due to the quality and seriousness of Intelligent Partnership’s assessment process. Finalists are chosen with the guidance of an impressive advisory panel, and winners are selected by independent judges. We are delighted to make the shortlist.
The Industry Game Changer award recognises companies that are bringing real changes to the SME investment sector. Our shortlisting reflects some of the things that we believe make Vala different. We are led by entrepreneurs, our EIS Portfolio has a simple and fair fee structure, and we are committed to making our investors feel close to the companies that we back. These factors also contributed to our shortlising for Industry Rising Star, an award which is open to companies that have successfully gained a strong foothold in the sector within the past two years.
It’s our investment in Arksen, an innovative yacht business, that has been shortlisted for Most Impactful Investment. This award singles out investments that have made a significant difference to the growth trajectory of the investee company. In Arksen’s case, investment and mentoring from Vala has transformed the business. As well as rapid progress with the development of their technology, they’ve firmly established their brand in the maritime market. After formally launching at the Dusseldorf boat show in January (see video below), they’ve generated great press coverage and a growing sales pipeline.
